Ponta da Piedade Walk and Boat Tour

This walk runs along one of the finest natural features of the Algarve.

Ponta da Piedade [Tip of Piety] comprises a captivating ensemble of rock formations stretching along the coastline of the town of Lagos. The cliffs, exposed to the sea, have been chiseled out by fierce winter storms, creating striking rock formations, caves, and sinkholes.

A boardwalk traces the western side of the coastline, extending from the lighthouse to Praia Canavial [Sugarcane Beach] without providing direct access to the beach. The walk proceeds along the top of the coastal cliffs, but unfortunately, it remains quite far from the edge. In addition to the breathtaking cliff views, visitors can also descend a staircase of 180 steps, which leads to a picturesque cove. This allows them to appreciate the beauty of this natural wonder up close.

To create a lasting memory of the cliffs, visitors can opt for an unforgettable experience by exploring them through fishing boats, kayaks, or paddleboards, which are small enough for navigating between the captivating rock formations.
